LYME DISEASE ADVOCATES DECLARE INDEPENDENCE FROM MEDICAL TYRANNY

Following in the footsteps of our Founding Fathers, twelve Lyme disease advocates across the United States have made their own historic declaration of independence.
The Lyme Disease Medical Declaration of Independence outlines the history of Lyme disease biowarfare research in biowarfare labs throughout the United States and emphatically declares independence from key agencies, organizations and individuals who continually squash diagnosis and treatment of chronic Lyme disease.

The LYME DISEASE MEDICAL DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE submits documentation to the world in support of the Lyme Advocate Signatories’ claims of TYRANNY and OPPRESSION. Supporting documentation includes a May 1, 2008 press release from Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal that divulges the conclusions of his antitrust investigation of the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA), one of the organizations named in the Declaration:

"This agreement vindicates my investigation -- finding undisclosed financial interests and forcing a reassessment of IDSA guidelines," Blumenthal said. "My office uncovered undisclosed financial interests held by several of the most powerful IDSA panelists."

Blumenthal added, "The IDSA's 2006 Lyme disease guideline panel undercut its credibility by allowing individuals with financial interests -- in drug companies, Lyme disease diagnostic tests, patents and consulting arrangements with insurance companies -- to exclude divergent medical evidence and opinion."

“I have lived through this nightmare of diagnostic and treatment denial from physicians and state without hesitation that both the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA) are responsible for the needless suffering of hundreds of chronic Lyme patients due to the biased Practice Guidelines they espouse. The statistical study of Lyme disease by the CDC, reminiscent of the infamous Tuskegee Study of Syphilis that lasted for forty years, accounts for the lack of diagnosis and treatment and is being carried out through use of the IDSA Practice Guidelines.”

Garcia goes on to assert that the CDC and IDSA are negligently influencing medical decisions and insurance coverage worldwide that result in unconscionable delays in diagnoses and treatment for Lyme patients.

"Patients experience debilitating cognitive dysfunction, excruciating musculoskeletal pain, crushing fatigue and cardiac abnormalities," Garcia states. "I have heard from patients who, although they suffer from periodic attacks of paralysis and ongoing cognitive impairment, have been told they are imagining their symptoms, most notably by infectious disease specialists who blindly follow the IDSA Practice Guidelines. Can you believe that? Patients are being sentenced to Life in Prison for the Chronically Ill! It’s part of what we refer to as the Lyme Crymes.”Excerpt from the DECLARATION:

“The history of these entities and individuals relating to Lyme disease is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Medical Tyranny over Lyme disease/Borrelia-infected patients and their treating physicians. When a long succession of abuses and usurpations continues unabated, it becomes the Moral Duty of the oppressed to throw off such Medical Tyranny and Oppression and the entities and individuals engaged in exercising unrighteous dominion over suffering and oppressed patients and treating physicians.
Throughout these many years, in every stage of these Oppressions, petitions for redress have been made to these entities and individuals in the most humble terms. We report that these petitions have fallen upon deaf ears and callous hearts and have been answered only by repeated injury.”
