In Bondage To Regulated Health Care

By Marjorie Tietjen

Standing in line at the local pharmacy makes me cringe. As I wait my turn, I observe one customer after another struggling to obtain what we have been conditioned to think are now the basic necessities of life. One problem after another presents itself. One customer's doctor didn't call in their prescription, another person is going on a trip...but it's too soon to fill their prescription, still another is told that the insurance doesn't cover their specific medicine so they have to pay an overinflated exorbitant price, out of pocket.

I ponder why it is that so many people are on drugs and why it is that each person is on so many drugs. It all brings me back to my own situation and the situation of all my friends who have been diagnosed with Lyme Dsease or misdiagnosed with Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Multiple Sclerosis, Lupus, etc. Some who have read my other articles which can be found at http://congregator.net/medicalnews/tietjen/index.html may notice I am consistently repeating certain facts and ideas. It's true...I am intensely focused on the issue of misdiagnosis because it affects all of us...not just those with Lyme Disease . I truely believe we are facing a medical coverup of unprecedented proportions. I personally know of certain labs and doctors who are being adversely targeted for exposing this problem.

It is so very frustrating to watch all these previously healthy, intelligent and wonderful people travelling from one doctor to another recieving a different diagnosis at each stop. The diagnoses recieved are always for chronic incurable illnesses or conditions....many times classified as autoimmune. These illnesses often produce symptoms in every body system. There never seems to be a cure...only numerous symptomatic treatments. Of course this "system" keeps things running smoothly for the corporations.

One thing that always puzzled me...I could never understand why the insurance companies would put up with this wasteful and dangerous method of diagnosing and treating disease. I would say to myself "can't they see they are losing money?" Why would they discourage natural preventative treatments or certain curative drugs? It just didn't make sense to me.

When lyme patients are denied antibiotic treatment for their chronic illness, they desperately seek help elsewhere. They are sent from one specialist to another who then orders a plethora of expensive tests. Many of these people are then labeled as patients who "doctor hop". It is not an advantage to have this written in one's chart. These patients are almost always diagnosed with some new or emerging chronic illness which requires many symptomatic treatments. This is very expensive for the insurance companies. The insurance companies are certainly not ignorant and know very well what is taking place. Again, none of it made any sense. I thought to myself that there must be some sort of agreement or relationship between the insurance companies, the pharmaceutical companies, whatever companies produce all the diagnostic equipment and the hospitals which conduct the testing.

I voiced my concerns to an acquaintance and this person informed me that the insurance companies have vested interests in the pharmaceutical companies and other related corporations. So...apparently the profits they may be losing on the insurance end are being made up for in other ways. Basically, they are all connected.

We need to look more closely at how these companies are connected and what the consequences are to the public. Do we really need prescription laws? Is the government our babysitter...telling us what we can or cannot put into our bodies? From my viewpoint it is very obvious that HMOs and prescription laws are being used as a means of total control. The goal is to perpetuate illness and make us dependant on the corporations/government for our very lives.

"Facism is the better term to define government regulated or government controlled or government utilized monopolies in the "private sector" in which free markets are not free, prices are rigged and ultimately , as in communism, goods and services can and will be politically rationed. True, facist medicine lacks the other necessary component - a single dictator. But that personality might also arise." From Medical Armageddon by Michael L. Culbert DSC

So...not only are profits involved in the creation and perpetuation of illness...and many times early death, but ideologies also appear to play a role. Environmental extremists and Eugenicists also factor into the equation.

When we understand the ways in which we are being controlled and manipulated, we can help others to also realize the deceit. Knowledge and exposure disrupts the secrecy which makes the deception and control possible.
