This is a great video from the food network which discusses the benefits of raw milk and the ridiculousness of the idea that it is more dangerous than any other food we grow or buy. It is actually illegal in many states to sell this health giving/healing natural food. Some people are worried about the Lyme disease spirochete and other pathogens contaminating raw milk. I believe Lida Mattman (nobel prize nominee) found live spirochetes in pasteurized milk off the store shelf. So...does this mean we shouldn't drink milk at all? Or......does immune building milk in its natural state provide elements which increase our immunity to disease. When milk comes from a farm that raises its herd on grass instead of grain...and that farm is certified (milk tested for pathogens)...then there is little danger of becoming ill from fresh milk. Most people turn to raw fresh milk because they have health problems from consuming pasteurized homogenized milk. We cannot kill all of our food to avoid rare instances of contamination. A total diet of dead food eventually results in dead people. There are people who were very ill with Lyme disease who claim to have been helped immensely by raw milk.
