I don't want to sound like I am blaming the victim because I now believe we are all victims (to different degrees) of a modern processed diet and altered genetics, due to several generations of the deteriorating quality of our food supply. The depleted soil, pesticides, chemical fertilizers, food processing and our food choices all play a role. Refined carbohydrates are one of the main culprits. Along the way we have been given much false nutritional advice by the large food corporations. These corporations often influence or are partially merged with such organizations as the American Dietetic Association and offer us advice which will increase their profits.
I have a vegetable garden and am still learning how to make the soil as nutritious as possible, in order to raise healthy disease resistant plants. The better the soil, the healthier the plants are.Strong robust plants(vegetables) then pass on their state of health to us.
Its the same idea with the meat we consume. If the animals are fed their natural diets, they will resist disease, be healthy, and confer their health to us.It's when they are fed unnatural diets (for example, cows being fed grain instead of their native diet of grass and other forage) that they become susceptible to disease and need the antibiotics.
