The article below describes how the American Government ...under the auspices of the United States Public Health Service, has intentionally experimented on the public...in our country and in other countries. Many of you are aware of the Tuskegee Experiment http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tuskegee_syphilis_experiment and now another horrid experiment comes to light ...orchestrated by the same Government health agency. Unwitting populations have been intentionally exposed to biological agents which are transmitted from one person to another. Those who had been experimented on had not been told about the experiment, nor were they treated OR WARNED THAT THE DISEASE COULD BE PASSED ON TO OTHERS. These populations were monitored to see what would happen.
Lyme disease is a very close cousin to syphilis...which was the infectious agent experimented with in the Tuskegee study. It is strongly suspected by some researchers and doctors that the Lyme disease spirochete is transmitted to others in several ways.....including causal transmission http://tinyurl.com/36odwzo Sexual transmission is suspected and fetal transmission has been proven but yet denied by mainstream medicine. I am not aware of very many studies...if there are any at all...that are looking for sexual transmission in this disease. It is also extremely difficult to get adequate treatment for people who develope chronic Lyme. Like syphilis...it can be a persistent relapsing infection and there are studies to prove it but even these studies are being ignored by mainstream medicine..... http://www.lymeinfo.net/lymefiles.html Why?
It might be a good idea to check out the government agency(ies) that first identified the outbreak of Lyme disease and followed the disease progression. I believe that Alan Steere worked for The Public Health Service as an EIS Agent...Epidemic Intelligence Service. He became very famous for his work with Lyme disease and monitored many patients along the way. About a year ago I met a woman who was a patient of his. After she had been treated she told me that Dr. Steere had told her never to donate blood again. Does this mean that Lyme disease is chronic and Dr. Steere knows this fact...even though he now denies Lyme can be chronic? Does it also mean that Lyme can be passed through the blood supply?
The excuse for experimentation that they use below....was that there were no laws restrictng experimentation years ago. Is this statement trying to insinuate that if there are no laws to restrict certain harmful activities...that it is ok to perform them? Are they trying to make it seem as if this is not happening today because we now have laws? Has the population been experimented on with Lyme disease and is this why there is such controversy over treatment and transmission issues? Is this why it is so difficult to get antibiotics to treat the patient long enough and strong enough?
U.S. apologizes for Guatemala STD experiments
Government researchers infected patients with syphilis, gonorrhea without their consent in the 1940s
U.S. apologizes for health experiments
By Robert Bazell
U.S. government medical researchers intentionally infected hundreds of people in Guatemala, including institutionalized mental patients, with gonorrhea and syphilis without their knowledge or permission more than 60 years ago.
Many of those infected were encouraged to pass the infection onto others as part of the study.
About one third of those who were infected never got adequate treatment.
On Friday, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius offered extensive apologies for actions taken by the U.S. Public Health Service.
"The sexually transmitted disease inoculation study conducted from 1946-1948 in Guatemala was clearly unethical," according to the joint statement from Clinton and Sebelius. "Although these events occurred more than 64 years ago, we are outraged that such reprehensible research could have occurred under the guise of public health. We deeply regret that it happened, and we apologize to all the individuals who were affected by such abhorrent research practices."
Secretary Clinton called Guatemalan president Alvara Cabellaros Thursday night to reaffirm the importance of the U.S. relationship with the Latin American country.
"The people of Guatemala are our close friends and neighbors in the Americas," the government statement says. "As we move forward to better understand this appalling event, we reaffirm the importance of our relationship with Guatemala, and our respect for the Guatemalan people, as well as our commitment to the highest standards of ethics in medical research."
