LIVE VIRUS NASAL VACCINE SHEDS AND SPREADS
When people heard that the virus in the nasal vaccine was a live virus, there was much concern that the vaccine recipient would shed and spread the virus for up to 10 days. The article at the link below speaks of this fear. Logic would continue with the fact that if this vaccine was given before any noticable large outbreak...that it could be the actual catalyst for an outbreak.Recipients were told not to go near those with immune compromised conditions for a period of days.Of course if they go to school, it would spread to others. A couple of weeks ago in Connecticut, the news showed children lining up and recieving doses of the nasal vaccine. Yesterday and today we are hearing blaring news reports that whole school districts are closing down.
Am I missing something or is this an obvious point that the public and medical community should be picking up on? I was in a hospital in New Haven yesterday and spoke to the nurses about this. Many of them were very upset about all the swine flu propaganda and did not want the shots and they were concerned about the nasal vaccines.

Before I became too ill to work I was employed at a Pediatrician's office. As staff we refused to allow the live flu vaccine (flumist) to be given in the office and the Dr. agreed.
ReplyDeleteWe strongly felt we would be getting repeated exposure to the flu virus from administration of those vaccines.
The past two years the formulation of the flu vaccine missed the strain that was active that year.
There are no guarantees you will not get the flu even if getting the shot.
My nursing friends were very upset with the NY State Vaccine Mandate for all healthcare workers.
Many have never gotten a flu vaccine and haven't gotten sick with the flu.
More stress should be on maintaining a healthy immune system and less on the artificial means of "boosting" the immune system.
As with everything else recently, follow the money and you'll find the reason behind most political actions.
